KAROO ARRAY TELESCOPE (KAT)
South
Africa has been shortlisted as one of two countries to host the Square
Kilometre Array (SKA), a giant next generation radio telescope. The
Karoo Array Telescope (KAT) will demonstrate SKA technology, and will
also prove South Africa's commitment, capacity and technological
readiness to host the SKA. The KAT will be located in a radio-quiet
reserve within the Karoo region of South Africa.
Peralex is assisting KAT with the industrialization of signal processing designs.
